Leaving Spectrum without the runaround.
If outages, price increases or support problems have worn you down, we will show what Optimum or Verizon can offer at your address — and handle the cancellation with you.
Why Spectrum customers call us
- Repeated outages or slowdowns at certain times of day.
- A promotional price that ended and a bill that jumped.
- Long hold times and appointments that do not stick.
- Equipment fees and charges that are hard to follow.
Spectrum works well for many households. If it works for you, keep it. If it does not, you do not have to put up with it.
Where you can go
Optimum Internet is a cable and fiber alternative with no data caps in 21 states, including Texas. Verizon Fios offers fiber with symmetrical speeds where it is built, and Verizon 5G Home is a fast, no-install option in select areas. Not sure? See Optimum vs Spectrum and Verizon vs Spectrum.
How we handle the cancellation
- We confirm your new service date first.
- Your new service is installed and tested.
- Only then do we guide you through cancelling Spectrum, including equipment return.
- We check your final bill for anything unexpected.
We will never ask you to cancel before the new service works, and we never cancel anything without your say-so.
Spectrum switch questions
Will I lose internet while switching?
Not if it is timed correctly. We recommend not cancelling Spectrum until your new service is installed and working. We guide you on exactly when to call.
Do I need to return my Spectrum equipment?
Usually yes. Spectrum will tell you how, typically by mail or at a store. We remind you of the steps so you avoid an unreturned-equipment charge.
Will Spectrum charge me to cancel?
Many standard home plans have no early termination fee, but promotional or bundled agreements can. We help you check before you cancel.
Can you cancel Spectrum for me?
We guide you through it and, with your permission and where Spectrum allows, we do it with you on the line. The account is yours, so Spectrum may ask you to confirm it yourself.
